My teenage sons constantly tease me about my best selling Camping British Columbia and Yukon book. Despite this work having sold over 40,000 copies and being known as the bible of provincial park campgrounds the fact I receive so little in financial renumeration for this text is a source of constant amusement to them both. Why would anyone dedicate so many hours of their valuable time writing, rewriting, editing, fact checking and taking time visiting over 170 campgrounds spread out over a land mass the size of Western Europe?
