PRESS RELEASE
Heritage House Publishing is pleased to announce the eighth edition of its popular guide book Camping British Columbia, the Rockies and Yukon: The Complete Guide to Government Campgrounds. The 2017 edition now features a section on camping in the Rockies. The book has been released to honour the 150th anniversary of Canadian Confederation and to coincide with the free admission to Canada’s national parks during 2017.
Says bestselling author Jayne Seagrave: “Plans for Canada’s 150th Birthday celebrations are well underway, and I’m delighted so many recognize that one of the best ways to celebrate is to get out and access these wonderful parks and celebrate the spectacular natural environment we have in this area of the world.”
Seagrave has spent over twenty-five years exploring and camping in British Columbia, Alberta and Yukon. She has personally visited all of the BC and Alberta campgrounds included in the book and over 50 per cent of those in Yukon. In addition to information on over 200 campgrounds, she offers helpful tips and advice on planning your route and making the best use of facilities, recreational activities and local attractions. The book includes maps, directions, and dozens of colour and black and white photographs.
